SG2000 Wire Partitions

The SG2000 line has been replaced by our redesigned BeastWire Mesh Guarding as of February 1, 2016. Like many competitive products still marketed as industry leaders, the SG2000 line lacked sensible design. Standard bolt hole patterns in posts failed to line up with holes in panels when re-oriented, adding time and money to projects. Posts were specific to in-line, corners, and door type often resulting in misplacement, field drilling, and odd/cumbersome/non-secure hardware for connections. Swing gates were swing specific (in or out, hinged left or right) and were designed specifically for lock or padlock setups.

SG2000 Wire Partition

This inflexibility was replaced by the ingenuity of BeastWire Mesh Partitions. The panels are still fabricated from 1-1/4 inch by 1-1/4 inch by 1/8-inch-thick angle frame, but the hole pattern now follows a universal layout for a variety of uses to avoid paying for or waiting on replacement panels or drilling new holes in the field. BeastWire can also be fitted with a wide variety of welded, woven, expanded, and sheet metal infill to match existing materials such as our 10-gauge, 1-1/2 inch diamond woven mesh common in the SG2000 line.

BeastWire Mesh Partitions still continue to use 14-gauge, 2 inch by 2 inch tube posts, but the universal hole pattern allows each post to work in any location outside of some special lock requirements. The main difference is that BeastWire Mesh universal posts have only 2 inch maintenance sweep space below the panels whereas SG2000 employed a 3-1/4 inch sweep space. While this difference is hardly noticeable when building on existing SG2000 material, it allows for standard universal posts to now be used in high-end security applications such as DEA cages, vaults, and bonded warehouse cages.

Finally, SG2000 hinged gates have been replaced the new BeastWire design which allows standard doors to be reversed in the field. Doors can now swing in or out in the event an unforeseen obstruction or limited aisleway exists. BeastWire doors can also be switched from a standard mortise cylinder lock to a padlock setup without replacing the entire door. This not only saves material and installation cost but also saves on freight as we can send new materials by a more affordable parcel service versus sending an entire door via a less-than-truckload carrier.

2180 Welded Wire Partitions

2180 welded wire partitions

The 2180 welded wire partition line was discontinued from production July 1, 2016. Originally launched to meet a demand for a design common outside the United States, 2180 welded wire mesh partitions were constructed of a 1 inch square tube frame with 6-gauge wire resistance welded in a rectangular mesh pattern. Since its debut in the 1990s, the welded wire mesh partition market changed dramatically resulting in design limitations with the 2180 brand.

BeastWire Mesh Partitions were successfully launched prior to the discontinuation of the 2180 brand to provide customers with a wider range of product heights, expanded gate and lock offerings, a more competitively priced and readily available product. While the panel-to-panel construction of the 2180 line differs from the intermediate posts utilized in BeastWire they share two common components: welded wire mesh appearance and ease of installation using all straight carriage bolt hardware on the secure side of the system.

RailGuard

RailGuard mezzanine safety systems were custom fabricated components using the base design of an SG2000 partition panel. It has now been incorporated into the BeastWire Mesh Guarding brand of products with many improvements. While many of the design components are similar, the system is now more readily available and cost-effective as it utilizes standard BeastWire Mesh Guarding components.
